    Everything he shared was an incredible summary of what we all should be doing on a regular basis, basically second nature. Why does the majority simply avoid or ommit these seemingly simple Brain Enhancing recommendations? Is it because their brains are already too weakened to make good decisions, or do you think it weighs more on poor programming?

    I have a question regarding 5htp. I suffer from panic attacks, worry and fears. will taking 5htp help me? Also does it have any side effects like dizziness or palpitations?

      Hi Donna,
      To my belief, 5HTP will help with depression. It seems to me that GABA (Gamma Amino Butyric Acid) is more appropriate to treat anxiety, and panic attacks. When taken a half hour before a known stressful event (A meeting on which your career depends, for example)it will help you stay amazingly calm and handle the situation.
      GABA is an amino acid (similar to vitamins); therefore it has no side effects. It nourishes the neurotransmitters, versus mimicking hormones like medications do. But please talk to Dr Amen about this before prescribing it to yourself, or talk to a CLINICAL nutritionist (Not a dietician).
      Fear is best treated with a spiritual venue, like surrendering to a higher power, if you know what I mean.

      P.S My knowledge comes from a French biologist, expert in nutrition. The body functions thanks to the nutrients it takes in. Any deficiency leads to dis-ease or illness. Any body problem can be counteracted with proper nutrition.
